A 20-year-old housekeeper, Odunayo Ebenezer, has been remanded at Kirikiri Correctional Centre by an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court over the alleged sexual assault and defilement of her employer’s minor.

Chief Magistrate O. O. Kushanu declined to take her plea and directed that she remain in custody pending advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), scheduled for September 4.

The defendant, who resides in Shagisha, Magodo, Lagos, is facing a two-count charge of sexual assault and defilement

The Prosecutor, ASP Adegoke Ademigbuji told the court that the offences were committed on June 4, 2025 at the defendant’s residence.

Ademigbuji said that the defendant, who lives with her employer, was caught by the victim’s father after she had asked the 5- year-old boy to lie down and she laid on top of him.

The prosecutor said that the victim’ father saw the victim’s erection and knew it wasn’t normal, so he then called his son who narrated how it happened to him.

The offences according to the prosecutor contravened Sections 137 and 263 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
