Super-reigning filmmaker, Funke Akindele, has apologised to salivating movie lovers as she has postponed the upload of her film, ‘Omo Ghetto: The Saga’ on YouTube.
Many who could not see the work in cinemas, where it earned about N636m, have been waiting to see it on YouTube.
For observers too, it is a time to see how Funke will perform online, especially given the success that her colleague, Omoni Oboli recently recorded on the platform.
Speaking in a post on the postponement, Funke writes: “Postponed, not cancelled! We’re rescheduling the #Omoghettothesaga upload due to unforeseen circumstances. We apologise for any inconvenience; we also sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding. A new date will be announced soon! Stay tuned and thank you for your continued support.”
The film features an ensemble cast, including Chioma Akpotha, Eniola Badmus, and Bimbo Thomas, and even spawned a soundtrack called “Askamaya Anthem” performed by the lead actresses.
