Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has described the exploits of star filmmaker, Femi Adebayo, at the just-held 11th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards as an instance of what obtains when tale t meets opportunity.
Adebayo emerged one of the most awarded at the programme, winning three major prizes with his new film, ‘Seven Doors’.
Among such are Best Lead Male Actor, which he won; and Best Lead Female Actor won by Chiona Chukwuka.
In a post on X.com on Tuesday, Saraki described Adebayo’s victory as a “well-earned recognition” and a source of pride for the people of Kwara State.
He also lauded Adebayo’s performance and his contribution to Nigeria’s film industry.
“I just read the news that #realfemiadebayo won the AMVCA Best Lead Actor award for his remarkable performance in ‘Seven Doors.’
“This is a well-earned recognition and a proud moment for Kwarans everywhere.
“But more than that, it is a reminder of what’s possible when talent meets opportunity,” he wrote.
Saraki concluded his message with words of encouragement for the actor as he wished him greater achievements,
He wrote, “May this achievement open even greater stages, and inspire a new generation of young Kwarans to dream big, work hard, and tell their own stories to the country, the continent and the world.”
Recall that Adebayo’s latest movie series, ‘Seven Doors,’ emerged one of the biggest winners at the prestigious event held on Saturday, clinching three awards — Best Lead Actor (Femi Adebayo), Best Lead Actress (Chioma Chukwuka), and Best Score/Music (Tolu Obanro).
The AMVCA is an annual award presented by Multichoice to recognise outstanding achievements in television, film, entertainment, and digital content creation throughout Nollywood and the entire African continent.
