Enyimba FC are determined to close out their 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) campaign on a high note when they host Plateau United in Aba on Sunday.

Speaking to newsmen on Saturday, the club’s Media Officer, Samson Orji, said the fixture, though no longer consequential for the league title or continental spots, is about pride and identity.

“With the title race over and no continental qualification at stake, this match is about finishing strong for the fans who stood by the team all season,” Orji said.

He added that Head Coach Stanley Eguma would lead the team in one final push to deliver a morale-boosting win.

“This is a chance to leave a lasting impression and underline the club’s enduring pedigree, in spite narrowly missing out on a continental ticket.

“Enyimba knows what this game means to their fans, a fanbase whose voice echoes through Aba like a storm under the rain or sun shine,”he said.

The media officer said, “Enyimba owe its numerous fans a good performance, a victory, and a parting gift to cherish through the offseason.

“It is more than a match, a final act of defiance, a tribute to tradition, and a bold statement of intent ahead of what promises to be a revitalised campaign next season.

“Enyimba against Plateau United is not just a match, but a battle for pride, glory, and the badge,”Orji said.
