TO mark this year’s Children’s Day, a celebration of the rights, dreams, and voices of Nigeria’s youngest citizens, Quramo hosted a special edition of its youth-focused series, Voices of Tomorrow, at the QBook Café.
The event featured an engaging essay competition themed ‘A Brave New World’, which also serves as the central theme for QFest 2025: Quramo Festival of Words. Students were invited to imagine the world they want to grow into and the results were nothing short of inspiring. Their essays, rich in clarity, imagination, and conviction, were not only written but powerfully performed in front of an engaged audience.
At the end of the showcase, Princess Egwuatu and Bammeke Maria from Holy Child College, Ikoyi, claimed the top two positions, while Vernice Itamah and Hadassah Ezeh from Reeds School secured third and fourth place respectively, each impressing the audience with their insight and expression.
By passing the mic and the pen to these young voices, Quramo reaffirmed its belief that children are not just the leaders of tomorrow, but powerful storytellers today. Their words remind us that the future isn’t simply something we build for them; it’s something we must build with them.
And if ‘A Brave New World’ is the future they envision, then we eagerly look forward to witnessing the remarkable contributions these young minds will make in shaping it.
