A new sensational poetry video is about to drop from the vault of star performance poet, Akeem Lasisi.
The new art, titled ORERE, is due out on May 30, weeks after the multitalented Lasisi released the video of ‘EYE IGBO: For Chibok Girls’, hailed as an important national project.
ORERE, which comes from the title song of his latest album, is a celebration of love, words and all that is beautiful in African poetry.
The video shot in Lagos and Ibadan features intensively talented musician, Edaoto; with another total artist, Morenikeji Ashabi, as Orere.
Also in action are Tairu Ajibode, Jane Blessing Kalu, Jumoke Shittu, Yewande Odumosu, Uche Obi, Adedunni Akanni, Esther Eziukwu, among others.
Pushing the genre beyond the cold walls of the pen, Lasisi, alongside his ‘Songbirds’, is renowned for exciting and engaging multimedia poetic offerings.
His earlier highly successful visuals include ELELETURE, UDEME and EKUN IYAWO.
