Controversial senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has won a major battle in his current political travails.

A dramatic attempt to recall her by a group of people in Kogi State has failed, with the Independent National Electoral Commission saying it failed to meet the constitutional requirements outlined in Section 69(a) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended).

Only days ago, she had defied odds to meet with her supporters in the state after the government and the police banned rallies.

The commission said on its X handle, “The petition for the recall of the Senator representing the Kogi Central Senatorial District has not met the requirement of Section 69(a) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended).”
