The supremacy drama going on in the Lagos Assembly took another turn on Monday as the lawmakers have re-elected Mojisola Meranda as Deputy Speaker minutes after she resigned.
She was picked as Speaker after 36 lawmakers sacked Hon Mudasiru Obasa.
She had resigned on Monday during plenary according to her to protect the institution of the Assembly.
It is, however, unclear if the House has resolved to see the Speaker earlier removed, Mudasiru Obasa, continue in office.
Following his refusal to accept his deposition, he had approached court while the lawmakers have also instituted another case.
Meanwhile, he has officially been reinstated following the Meranda’s resignation.
