Artists can be dime-a-dozen, but there is only one Ola Egbowon. Hailing from the City of Lagos-Nigeria, Ola relocated to Vienna, the capital city of Austria early 2000 and his love for music channeled his path to meeting a vast array of aspiring musicians and producers.
Ola had an insatiable desire to pursue the art of music-making from the very get-go and he spent several years chiselling patiently on his persona and ultimately became a student of the art as his quest lead him on a journey that not only transform his music but his whole personality.
Ola’s live performances, coupled with his powerful vocal dexterity, brings great energy and electrifies any audience no matter which stage. His is a fusion of various musical elements, including rhythm and blues, gospel, jazz and Soul. he is known for his ability to convey intense emotions, often drawing from personal experiences, and his vocal style typically involves a rich, expressive, and dynamic delivery.
Though Ola’s musical influences are endless, it was the first line of Al Green’s classic tune “Lets Stay Together” that sealed his fate as a musician, and he has never looked back since then. Still based in Vienna-Austria, the Soul/Funk & Jazz recording artist has manifested into a versatile, multifaceted artist persona with his own signature sound and stylization; a style that touches on different multi genre components that showcase his talents most effectively.
Now an acclaimed artist that has developed a niche in the industry, one of Ola’s several accolades is being an artist nominee at Austria’s 2016 Eurovision Song Contest. Known for his soulful and captivating live performances, Ola has graced the stage at many prominent venues and events over the years. He also obtained a weekly residency at Vienna’s foremost Dinner Club, Albertina Passage almost through its entirety.
