Ample and quality audience await acclaimed theatre and film producer, Bolanle Austen-Peters, at the University of Westminster, London, on Friday at a conversation on her adventures and the industry in general.
Announcing this on Thursday night, UK-based Bubbles FM founder, Dr Lookman Sanusi, noted that the programme had been sold out, adding that the organisers were considering making it virtual.
Sanusi, who is also a theatre producer and scholar, noted in a Facebook post:
“Dear All,
“BOLANLE NBOOOO, BOLANLE TIDEEE (BOLANLE IS COME)!
The ‘In Conversation’ with multiple award winning Director/Producer Bolanle Austen-Peters(BAP) scheduled to hold tomorrow 17 January 2025 at the Regent Campus of the University of Westminster from 4pm -7pm has SOLD OUT!!!!! This event is organised by Bubbles FM and the CAMRI Africa Media Series, University of Westminster. We might go virtual tomorrow to accommodate demands, please bear with us.”
Austen-Peters’ impacts on Nigeria’s arts scene have been formidable since over two decades ago she entered the scene.
Her first major stride was the establishment of Terra Kulture, the highly successful multi-purpose cultural centre based on Victoria Island, Lagos. She then launched into drama production, helping in the reawakening of live theatre in the country.

Many would, however, mostly celebrate her for the chain of acclaimed films she has continued to produce, among which are:
- House of Ga’a. 3.9. Director. 2024.
- Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti. 8.4. Director. 2024.
- Man of God. 3.9. Director. 2022.
- Collision. 7.1. Director. 2021.
- The Bling Lagosians. 5.4. Director (directed by) 2019.
