Celebrated actress and producer, Omoni Oboli, has given the reason she removed her new film, ‘A Different Type of Love’ from YouTube.
She had been accused of copying another movie, after which she took her work down.
According to her, the need to get to the root of the matter, including investigating the scriptwriter and discussing with her legal team, prompted her to remove the film from YouTube.
Actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli has responded to allegations that her recently released movie, ‘A Different Type of Love’, copied another film on YouTube.
In a statement on Instagram, Oboli noted: “Dear besties, We know you’re probably wondering why the latest movie isn’t available anymore on the channel. We’ve received feedback that it bears a striking resemblance to another film on YouTube.
“As a channel committed to originality, we’ve decided to remove the movie while we investigate the situation. We’ve engaged the scriptwriter to understand exactly what happened and are working closely with our legal team to resolve this. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Always remember that I love you.”
