Renowned actress, Kate Henshaw, has reacted to a police reports about ritual killings in relation to hookup by young ladies.
During a recent appearance on Channels Television’s Morning Brief, Omolola Odutola, the Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Police Command, had emphasised the risks associated with the hookup fad.
According to the police officer, young ladies are being invited by strangers. to unknown places where many of them end up as ritual victims.
She said: “Today, we have numerous reports of missing persons. By the time we start an investigation, not less than 10 young girls and ladies go missing daily. These cases are not accidental.
Most are tied to hookup arrangements where young women are invited by strangers to unknown places, ultimately leading to their harm or use in ritual killings.”
This assertion garnered significant media attention and elicited various reactions on social media.
A user then on X recalled the time when Kate Henshaw faced accusations of promoting femicide for expressing a similar viewpoint.
The post read, “There was a time not too long ago @HenshawKate made a statement as regards this and some people came for her. Alas!!! She has been vindicated.”
In response to the post, the actress wrote: “Let the role model females who spouted I was promoting femicide show naa. Alas, their mouths are shut!!”
