Amid allegations of being a gay, actor-turned-politician, Desmond Elliot, has declared that he is straight.
It is a way of saying he remains a man who have affairs with only women.
Some reports have insinuated that some popular figures are veiled gays.
But in an interview on TVC, Elliot said he chose not to react to the rumours because his focus was on real things.
He said: “Why would I respond to allegations made against me when it does not affect my life either way?
“If you feel you identify as something, as long as it is within the law, that is your choice. People do not have to accept it, but do what you wish.”
“So let me say right here, I am straight. You could not find anyone straighter than me.
“If some people want to enjoy themselves through publicity, that is up to them but I do not care. Do what you wish and enjoy yourself, but do it within the law and with consideration for your neighbours.”
