Freedom is in sight for House of Representatives member for Aba North and South, Alex Ikwechegh, who allegedly assaulted a Bolt driver, Stephen Abuwatseya, as he has secured bail.
With activist and lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, representing Abuwatseya, the Kuje Magistrate Court, Abuja on Wednesday granted Ikwechegh bail in the sum of N500,000.
The lawmaker had gone on viral in a video on social media for allegedly assaulting the bolt driver.
In the video, he is heard threatening the driver and assuring him that he could make him disappear without a trace.
He also slaps him a number of times.
He, on Monday, tendered an apology, saying he would seek counselling concerning his conduct.
