Popular Comedienne and actress, Anita Afoke Asuoha, widely known as Warri Pikin, has revealed that a motivational speaker almost caused her to consider suicide as a way out.
Warri Pikin, while celebrating the World Suicide Prevention Day, told a story of how a motivational speaker caused her husband to get a debt of N22 million naira in 2018.
According to her, she felt the only means of escape was to commit suicide.
She said, “I tried suicide so you don’t have to. In 2018, June 6, 3pm to be precise I attempted suicide. I gave up on life because the burden was too much. Life just dey hit me left right and centre. Life dey turn me round like a barber’s chair. And I felt like the only way to escape is to end the pain.”
She advised people that suicide was not an option and whatever trouble they faced was only temporary.
