Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, seems to have asserted his worth based on the result of his Estako Local Government in yesterday’s governorship in Edo State.
All eyes were on him – like other major stakeholders – since he is estranged from his principal, Governor Godwin Obaseki.,
He was impeached but reinstated by the court.
While he shares Estako with former Governor, Adam Oshiomhole, he won for the All Progressives Congress’ candidate, Monday Okphebholo, 32,107 votes as against Peoples Democratic Party’s Asue Ighodalo who got 17,483.
In the 16 LGS whose results have been collated, the APC has 244,549 while PDP got 195,954.
