Star comedian, Bovi Ugboma, has counted himself a lucky man when it comes to marriage matters.
Many may agree with him if they compare his experience with those of some of his colleagues whose marriages no more stand.
Among such are Basketmouth, AY and Julius Agwu.
In a discussion with VJ Adams, a media personality, Bovi enthuses about marriage: “One day at a time, and don’t take yourself too seriously. I am lucky when it comes to marriage. I think most marriages have to do with luck before any form of planning comes into play. So, I think I am lucky.
“I have learned not to take things too personally, but that doesn’t mean I don’t get pushed or worried. There is no perfect marriage but perfection comes from loving the imperfection.
“I am not the type of person who will stay in a place that isn’t conducive, so that’s why I said I am lucky to be where I am, but, for many years, I was doing this one thing at a time, and I am a giver by nature.
“I am lucky to have her and her wanting to have me, and wanting to have each other and make it work.”
