As the hardship protest turned violent in Kano State, Governor Abba Yusuf has imposed a 24-hour curfew in the state.
Shootings and destruction of public and private properties by hoodlums who hijacked the campaign have been recorded.
This is apart from the setting ablaze of the newly built Nigeria Communication Commission Industrial Park in Kano, which was just days away from its official launch.
The governor addressed reporters on the incidents at Government House, Kano, on Thursday, August 1.
