Amid the ongoing nationwide protest against economic problems, popular female singer, Yemi Alade, has joined her voice to those of celebrities who have spoken about the government.
The ‘Johnny’ singer took to Instagram to express her opinion that everyone deserves a better standard of living and the ability to afford basic amenities such as food, water, and electricity.
“Dem-don-crazy or Democracy? We all deserve better standards of living and the means to afford basic amenities of life…
Food, water, electricity, etc.,” she wrote.
Yemi Alade’s post comes as the protesters continue to take to the streets, demanding good governance.
This is despite President Tinubu’s assurance that his government was doing a lot to tame the hardship.
Among other moves, he said in Sunday’s national broadcast, there is an initiative to cultivate 10 million hectres of land for food production.
