For acclaimed musician, Wizkid, this is a time to remember his more than humble past.
The superstar who now controls fortunes wants fans and foes to know that there was a time things were so uncertain for him that he could not afford breakfast.
Sharing his experience, he revisited on his childhood, growing up in a family of 11 children, including four from his mother.
He said, “I came from the bottom, I know what it feels like not to have anything. There was a time in my life when I had never even had breakfast, it was just lunch or maybe dinner,” he shared.
According to ‘The Nation’, despite his immense fame, Wizkid emphasised that his humble beginnings have instilled in him a sense of gratitude and composure, which no level of success can compromise.
