Highlife high flyer, Flavour N’abania, has spoken on his relationship with the media which, he believes, do not give him much attention.

Flavour is one of the most successful artistes of his age and has proved durable since he mounted stardom some 10 years ago.

According to him, the media rarely look his way because they focus on afrobeats.

In an interview with Afrobeats podcast on Monday, August 19, he said his is African music, adding that Fally Ipupa and Diamond Platinumz were in his shoes but they also get thinner attention than the afrobeats acts.

Flavour argued:  “I do not feel bad when I am not given credit for the global rise of African music because what the media is talking about is Afrobeats. I am not an Afrobeats artiste.

“What I am doing is African music. There are guys like Fally Ipupa, Diamond Platinumz who are pushing African music globally that are not Afrobeats artistes.

“Most times, the media just talks about Afrobeats. They are not talking about African music. If you talk about African music, of course, you should mention my name.”
