Husband of Favour Igiebor, the woman believed to have destroyed his passport at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, over the weekend, has launched a different narration.
Although he had earlier expressed shock at her wife’s action while saying she knew she would cause some scene, he has now said that she did not tear up his passport.
The drama had caused many tongues to wag even after the woman, in a video, said she took the action out of marital frustration.
The Nigerian Immigration Service has kicked against the act and she has been flown to Abuja for further action.
But the man said they were only doing a skit – and that what she tore is not his passport.
He said in a video: “Please be a blogger, when you’re blogging, blog and blog well. Don’t go and blog to spoil things, please. She never tore my passport, she never spoilt my passport. My passport is intact. We’re doing a skit.”
