Promising news from France as Nigeria’s Ofili races into Olympics final

Rising from the adversity of non-participation in the 100-metre race due to the omission of her name, Favor Ofili has raised the hope of the first medal for Nigeria at the ongoing Olympic Games in France.
She, on Monday, made it  to the women’s 200m final, finishing 2nd behind 100m champion Julien Alfred in semi finals.

The 21-year-old was denied participation in the 100-metre race at the Olympics in Paris due to alleged administrative lapses by the Athletics Federation of Nigeria and the Nigerian Olympic Committee, will now hope to write her name in gold in the finals tomorrow.

As ‘The Nation’ reports, Nigeria has yet to win any medal in the ongoing Olympics.
