A Yoruba proverb says ‘Bi iya nla ba gbe ni sanle, keekeeke a maa gori eni.’ This means that when a big trouble defeats a man, smaller ones too begin to taunt him.

This is a proverb that may stream into the mind of some watchers of the challenges that star footballer with Napoli, Victor Osimhen, is currently facing.

The great talent who, only too recently, was the toast of many has not been able to receive any swift and befitting call from another club.

Many have also continued to taunt him since he goofed by insulting former Super Eagles coach, Finidi George.

Amid this,, controversial prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has travelled into the footballer’s future.

And the message he is back with is not palatable for him: that he will not do well at Chelsea, while he is warning Eagles’ management not to invite him.

Apart from the fact that a good number of the prophet’s major predictions have flopped, it is doubtful if Osimhen would have been the subject of his prediction if all were rolling beautifully for him.

For one, the seer hardly needs to peep into Atlanta wonder Lookman’s future for now.

He has sent a warning to Osimhen, against his completing the process for a reported move to Chelsea.

Anyway, the cleric made his position known while making several predictions in a video on his X account.

After helping Napoli win the Serie A title, many had expected Osimhen to transfer in the summer of 2023.

Instead, he renewed his contract with a better salary and a £113 million release clause, with a mutual understanding that he could depart in 2024.

This summer, moving away has been tough due to his less impressive season and the high expenses related to the transfer, including fees and salaries.

Some negative manifestations on his part have also compounded the matter.

Speaking further, the cleric warned the NFF (Nigeria Football Association) against inviting the Napoli player for any national duty because his call up to the national team still needs to be ‘previewed’

“I want to quickly advise as directed that Osimhen should not go to Chelsea because if he goes there, he will not shine and it will kill his career. NFF, if Osimhen should go to Chelsea, don’t call him again, and also calling him to the Super Eagles still needs to be previewed properly. We have what it takes to the World Cup and Nations Cup.”
