Amid the anxiety ushering in the national hardship protest, the management of the University of Lagos has postponed its ongoing examination.
Lagos is usually an epicentre of a protest like the one starting on Wednesday.
In a circular released by the school on Wednesday and signed by the Head Communication Unit, Adejoke Alaga-Ibraheem, the school noted that the management, due to the planned protest from August 1st to 10th, 2024, decided to postpone the exams to take preventive measures for the university’s staff and students.
Ibraheem said the university also advises the university community to be security conscious.
“Management has put in place precautionary measures to ensure your safety, security, and well-being on the three campuses of our University, especially due to the ongoing 2nd Semester, 2023/2024 examinations.
“Please note that all examinations scheduled to hold on Thursday, August 1 and Friday, August 2, 2024 are postponed till further notice.”
