Comedian Anita Alaire Afoke Asuoha, also known as  Real Warri Pikin, has shed more light on her weight-loss surgery experience.

Warri Pikin, during a recent event she attended, said many people admired her body size after the surgery but they didn’t know what she was (and still) going through.

According to her, she chose the surgery after an embarrassing incident with a bank’s security system, telling how an automated bank security system mistook her for numerous people due to her size.

In her words, “When I was plus-sized, one of the reasons I decided to have weight-loss surgery was an embarrassing situation at the bank. I walked into the bank, and the next thing I heard was, ‘Step back, one at a time, one at a time’.”

Real Warri Pikin revealed that, despite receiving accolades for appearing better and younger after the surgery, she was facing the repercussions of the procedure.

She noted: Warri Pikin: “Everyone says I look better and younger after the surgery, but they don’t understand what I’m going through. My breasts have gotten sloppy.”

Warri Pikin flaunted her new looks on social media last year after undergoing a weight-loss surgery. She had earlier regretted opening up on weight loss journey. The comedian divulged that she had numerous health problems as a result of her weight before having the gastric sleeve surgery. She also got candid about some of the challenges she faced even after the successful surgery.

The comedian disclosed during an interview with Ghanaian journalist Doreen Avio on JoyNews that she frequently needed to be hospitalised due to her severe illness struggles. According to her, this had an impact on her capacity to perform and support herself.

“It wasn’t easy at all,”  she said, adding that she was unable to appear in comedic events and had to return some money that had been paid to her.
