As more people continue to mourn prophetess and gospel music artiste, Morenikeji Adeleke, aka Egbin Orun, some fellows have been raising controversial issues about her life and demise.
Some are angry that certain people, including her sisters, took selfies with her corpse, with an Islamic cleric saying it amounted to the trivialisation of her death.
He warned the living to draw a lesson from this – that, after death, no one could control what becomes of one body and legacy.
Another woman, who claims to be a spiritual leader, said that Egin Orun was a spirit/water child who knew she was bound to die at the time she did.
Her claim has sparked mixed reactions online, with some agreeing with her while others said she was vomiting nonsense.
According to one of the latter, many erroneously refer to light-skinned women as water people.
In another theory greeting Egnin Orun’s death, one other male spiritualist expressed disgust that the deceased was hurriedly buried, noting that she deserved a more befitting burial.
Egbin Orun’s death was announced by her colleague, Esther Igbekele, in an Instagram post late Saturday.
Igbekele, who posted with the username @estherigbekele, expressed sadness over the demise of the late singer whom she described as a “beautiful and kind-hearted woman” who was supportive of her.
Igbekele recalled that she and EgbinOrun spoke last week, adding that she’ll be greatly missed.
Her post read, “I got home from my programme to hear about this great loss. Prophetess Morenikeji Egbin Orun you left without saying goodbye.
“We spoke together last week not knowing you are about to embark on a journey to the great beyond. You are such a beautiful and kind-hearted woman and a very good supporter of my ministry.
“I am deeply saddened at your demise but God knows best. You will be greatly missed and your good deeds will continue to linger in our hearts.”
