Fresh development in the Kano royal tussle shows that the traditional ruler removed for Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi is back into reckoning.
Based on a court injunction that Governor Abba Yusuf waived aside as he reinstated Sanusi on Thursday, security operatives in Kano have moved into the mini-Palace where the dethroned Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero is.
They are not just providing cover for him, they have vowed to enforce the court order restraining Yusuf from implementing the repealed law.
Governor Yusuf had ordered Ado Bayero’s arrest but the police said they would obey the order against Sanusi’s reinstatement.
