Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has reinstated a former Governor of Central Bank, Sanusi Lamido, as the Emir of Kano.
This follows the repealing of the law that divided the Kano Emirate into four in 2019, under the Abdullahi Ganduje government.
Announcing the reappointment on Thursday evening, Abas said since the House had repealed the 2019 law, there was no Emir in Kano before his announcement.
He gave the four emirs appointed by Ganduje 48 hours to vacate their official domains and hand over necessary items to government.
