Lagos-based artiste, Oladipupo Oladimeji, otherwise known as Oladips, has again tried to defend himself against those who feel he pranked everyone by faking his death.

Oladips’ management had declared the rapper dead on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, only to find out later that he was still alive.

After the incident, many accused the singer of faking the death to promote his latest album.

The rapper, however, in an interview on Hip TV insisted that people close to him could swear for his resurrection.

He emphasised that he really died.

Oladips claimed that despite his attempts to clarify his death and resurrection, many people continued to view it as a joke, addingthat there was nothing he could do about it.

He said: “I came back to life to see all the chaos and disbelief. But what can I do? What has happened has happened. How many people can I sit with and explain to? Because, obviously, a lot of people still think my death is a prank.

“Every time I try to explain that it was a near-death experience and not a prank, people always show disbelief. But those who are close to me know that I died and resurrected.”
