The Anambra Police Command has said that it is interrogating a film producer, Adanma Luke, over the boat accident that led to the death of actor Junior Pope and four crew members participating in a movie she is shooting – ‘The Other Side of Life’.
It also said it had arrested the operators of the boat in which the deceased were travelling when the tragedy occurred.
‘The PUNCH’ reports that the state police spokesman, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed this on Saturday, adding that the boat operators were in police custody in connection with the unfortunate incident.
Ikenga also disclosed that Luke had voluntarily turned herself in to the police.
He added that other members of the cast and crew of the movie would be invited for questioning.
Ikenga said, “Yes, the boat operators have been arrested. Even the producer of the movie, Adanma Luke. Their statements were taken, and interrogation is ongoing.
Meanwhile, Luke had, in a video, said she had not issued a statement on the accident because she was traumatised while also sorting burial processes of the victims.
