The duel between Atletico Madrid and Dortmund ended dramatically on Tuesday as the latter rose from 2-1 deficit to eliminate the opponents.
As it similarly happened between PSG and Barca, with the first moving from being 3-2 down to overpower the latter, Dortmund dazed beat Atletico 4-2 in their quarter-final second leg.
The game thus ended a 5-4 aggregate.
With the victory, Dortmund have secured the semi-final tie in Champions League for the first time since 2013.
As AFP reports, “trailing 2-1 from the first leg hosts Dortmund raced into a 2-0 half-time lead but fell behind again in the tie before Niclas Fuellkrug and Marcel Sabitzer struck in the space of three minutes to send the Bundesliga club through.”
