The proverbial huge elephant has fallen as the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Olalekan Balogun Ali Iwo, has joined his ancestors.
The monarch passed away at the age of 81 after spending two years on the throne.
His family and Governor Seyi Makinde have announced the passage, with the governor describing him as a giant.
Meanwhile, the family has said that his remains will be interred on Friday, March 15.
