Popular skit maker and content creator, Zic Aaloma, has opened up on why he gave up his lecturing job just to become a skit maker. In an interview with popular actress, Iyabo Ojo, he said he was once a lecturer at Kaduna Polytechnic, citing poor pay as a reason to jet step aside.

He underlined his will to achieve and disclosed that he started his master’s degree while performing his community service, finally getting hired as a lecturer at Kadpoly once his duty was finished.

Aloma talked nostalgically about his time as a lecturer when he concurrently competed in singing competitions and appeared on a season of The Voice Nigeria.

He talked about how he didn’t mean to start doing skits and recalled the first time he struggled for three years before gaining popularity.

Aloma started sharing his sketches on Facebook, but after joining Tiktok, his material started to become more well-known. When he told his supervisor that he was quitting teaching, the supervisor was sceptical, but he didn’t waver.
