Parents, children celebrate Christmas at Karu recreational center

No fewer than 200 children have celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ with their parents at Six String recreational center in Karu, Nasarawa State.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that children and parents expressed excitement at the funfair, organised by Funstatic Play Zone in Karu

Mrs Peace Odibere described the Christmas season as an significant period where families come together to celebrate love.

Odibere said that Christmas holiday afforded her the great opportunity to relax and catch fun with her family.

“Bringing my kids to this place make me more excited and they are very happy to associate with other children.

“The birth of Jesus Christ connotes love and I urge everyone to come together and celebrate with love.

” Christmas holiday afford me the great opportunity to relax and catch fun with my family which the main reason why we are here,” she said.

Mr Bernard Okolie, said since his family did not travel for Christmas, he brought his children to Funstatic Play Zone at Six String to relax and enjoy.

According to him, I consider it a wise decision to bring my children to celebrate with others, also to use the opportunity to ease tension after a hard work through out the year.

“It is important for one to rejoice with the family on occasion such as Christmas”.

Mrs Nkem Olojede said she and her entire family members were appreciating God for the gift of Jesus Christ whose birth was the reason for the season.

“We have come to have fun and enjoy with others. It is a great day for us and we are enjoying ever bit of it.

“We thank God for the gift of Jesus, whose birth the Christendom are celebrating and it is a unique celebration indeed,” she said.

Olojede commended the organisers of Funstatic Play Zone for such initiative to make the Christmas season more enjoyable for their kids.

Some of the children were swimming while others engaged in various fun games as well as dancing to the tunes of most popular Nigerian artistes.
