Some reverend fathers rallied round Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, on Wednesday as he resumed in his new office.
Having been moved out of the usual Secretariat Government Office by his principal, Governor Godwin Obaseki, Shaibu resumed at the new office located at No. 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue, Government Reservation Area (GRA), Benin.
As The Nation reports, despite Governor Godwin Obaseki’s September 28 acceptance of Shaibu’s apology, he refused to allow his “loyal’ deputy return to the official office inside Government House.
He was also not forthcoming on if Shaibu’s disbanded media team would be restored.
The reverend fathers dedicated the storey building and prayed for Shaibu and the state.
