The Lagos State Parks and Garages Administrators (LASPAGA) and Tricycle Owner and Drivers Association of Lagos (TODAL) on Tuesday celebrated the tribunal’s judgment which upheld Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the duly elected Governor of Lagos State.
In his address, LASPAGA State Secretary, Alhaji Abdulrahman Amusan, commended the Lagos State Election Petitions Tribunal for delivering a fair judgment.
Amusan said that the judgment was a victory for democracy, adding that “it is a vindication of the will of the people of Lagos State”.
“The tribunal was diligent in upholding the tenets of justice and rule of law,” he said.
He charged residents of the state to continue to support the governor in his efforts to make state a better place for all.
In his remark, the Deputy Chairman, LASPAGA, Lagos Chapter, Mr Seyi Bamgbose, said that the tribunal’s judgment is the third victory recorded for Sanwo-Olu, having won the primary and governorship elections.
“Sanwo-Olu’s victory is worth celebrating, because of his outlined plans in making the state a great one. With the support of God and the management, he will succeed” Bamgbose said.
According to him, residents of the state must embrace peace and unity, as only a united Lagos could achieve its full potential and become a model for other states to follow.
The Chairman, TODAL, Lagos State chapter, Mr Ladun Oladunjoye, expressed confidence that the governor would continue to deliver on his campaign promises and take the state to greater heights.
“Governor Sanwo-Olu’s leadership style is transparent, inclusive and people-oriented.
“He has demonstrated a clear understanding of the challenges facing the state and had taken practical steps to address them,” he said.
