The Kebbi Governor’s Wife, Hajiya Nafisa Idris, has settled medical bills of 12 vulnerable patients undergoing sundry surgeries at Medical Centre, Kalgo in the state.
Hajiya Binta Abdulhamid, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor’s Wife, disclosed this in statement in Birnin Kebbi.
It said that sponsorship was part of Hajiya Idris’ quest to render assistance to women, especially those suffering from various ailments in the state.
“To this end, Alhaji Mustapha Shallah, delivered the donation of N500,000 to the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the hospital, Dr Nura Kangiwa.
” He said the donation was in fulfillment of the promise to sponsor the surgeries of the patients and prayed to God for the successful conduct of the surgeries,” the statement said.
It also reported Kangiwa thanking the wife of the governor for the kind gesture while describing it as commendable and worthy of emulation.
One of the patients, who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, Sadiya Mua’zu, expressed happiness and gratitude to the wife of the governor.
She prayed to God to reward her abundantly and give her courage and wisdom to continue to impact positively on the lives of women and children in the state.
