The great and insistent run that the Labour Party’s Chairman, Peter Obi, has had in this democratic dispensation may have ended as the Supreme Court has dismissed his appeal against the September 6 judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC), affirming the election of President Bola Tinubu.
Only on Wednesday, he spoke in parables, urging the Nigerian judiciary to learn to uphold what he called true justice and fairness.
But in the lead judgment read by Justice John Okoro, which has been supported by the seven-man panel, the court argued that the issues in Obi’s appeal were similar to that of Atiku Abubakar which were already resolved.
The court upheld the judgment of the PEPC and proceeded to affirm Tinubu’s victory.
