Felix Otabor, father of 2022 BBnaija winner, Phyna, has lamented that she has abandoned him since she won the N100m contest.
According to him, She has not been to his house since she won it.
In an interview with THE VANGUARD, he said she had asked him to stop being a hearse driver(Somebody who transport the deceased person from the funeral home or mortuary to the final resting place), hoping for the best. But he never knew that his daughter had other plans to suffocate her family, while she enjoys her wealth alone.
Phyna is, however, not taking the report lightly.
In the first instance, she appears to be angry with THE VANGUARD, threatening a lawsuit.
This she indicated in a now-deleted X post – although she did not say the reporter was telling a lie.
Secondly, she, in another reaction, gave an indication that the family was putting her under pressure.
Here, however, is the father speaking: “I haven’t seen Phyna, my daughter since she won BBNaija ‘Level Up’ edition last year. She hasn’t returned home since then. I don’t know why? I am a professional hearse driver, and when she won the reality TV show, she asked me to do away with all my old cars, promising to change my life. But since then, I haven’t seen her. And I don’t have a car again. Once in a while, the Vice-Chairman of our association will allow me to drive his own car.
From that moment, things started getting tough for me. I am even looking for somebody that will give me a car on hire purchase. I need help, it has come to that point. I don’t want to die in silence.’
Otobar, who hails from Ekpeon, in Edo State, but resides in Lagos, is the father of four children. He’s an ambulance car driver, whose hope of a better life after his daughter won the BBNaija ‘Level Up’ edition’s grand prize of N100 million was dashed as soon as he was incubating it.
Sadly, the 68-year-old ambulance car driver said Phyna doesn’t answer their calls again. He wondered what they have done wrong to desire this kind of treatment being their first child.
Asked why Phyna was snubbing them, Otabor said he couldn’t explain, adding that he didn’t know his daughter’s whereabouts when he spoke to us during the week. “I only see her on Facebook or Instagram whenever she shares new photos on these platforms,” he added.
Reacting, the ex-BBN housemate accused her family of denting her image by speaking to journalists.
She claimed she was never loved by her parents and had to beg for parental love and care.
“Growing up I always hear you are not my daughter… you are not my daughter….. Yet I would beg for parental love….. the truth is I have always begged people to love me Today I have finally accepted it.. … no wonder I for say (sic)…. guess I’m an ORPHAN.”
“Family begina (to) grant interview… Nice one. I will not die young.
“When I die I must not be buried, my body should be given to my family, and the whole world must sit and watch them eat me, they must eat my corpse,” she added.

Meanwhile, in a reaction, the author of the story, Ben Njoku, a seasoned journalist with THE VANGUARD, said he stood by it.
