This caption sounds mischievous but it tells the story of the grand transformation that has been the lot of superstar artiste, Burna Boy. Whether anyone likes it or not, he has become one of the greatest musicians Nigeria has produced.
The Grammys winner, among many other laurels, interestingly has an intriguing story with the Heades Award, the 2023 edition of which just held in the UK.
In 2013, which was the first and only year Burna Boy ever attended the Headies awards, he lost the “Next Rated” award category to Sean Tizzle.
He left the scene upset. Ten years after, he did not attend the award but won three. These are the Best RnB Single, Song of the Year and Afrobeats Single of the Year.
Unfortunately, Tizzle, the hero 10 years ago, has fallen off the limelight tree. His attempts to maintain stardom or come back have not saved the situation for him.
