Buhari outgrows memory of palace coup, salutes IBB at 82

Time appears to have healed whatever ill feeling former President Muhammadu Buhari had towards a former military Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida, as he has bathed him with sweet words as he clocks 82.

Babangida had, in a palace coup, pushed out Buhari, who was then the military Head of State.

Buhari conveyed his wishes to former military President Ibrahim Babangida on the occasion of his 82nd birthday.

Buhari, in a statement Thursday by his media aide, Malam Garba Shehu, praised him as an outstanding officer who had a vision of development for the Federal Capital city, Abuja and the nation.

The former President wished General Babangida a longer life in good health.
