Popular skit maker, (Marym Apaokagi-Greene), has offered tips on how to grow in the entertainment sector – particularly online.
According to her, there is the need to train oneself while also facing the reality of having to do a lot of the work – including editing – oneself.
In a new post, Taaooma says, “You really have to do your stuff yourself. Secondly, invest in yourself, if you do, it’s going to be very easy- you don’t have to do a lot of stuff editing. If you use your good light and good microphone, all you have to do is put the thing on your timeline, you don’t have to start adjusting colour or whatever.”
Recalling how she hit limelight, she notes that she started out as an editor, but found herself in comedy eventually:
“I didn’t start out to become a comedian, so I wasn’t really looking up to anybody like that, Instagram was not my thing, Facebook was not my thing so I wasn’t in this space or I didn’t know anything about it, I only wanted to learn how to edit. So this comedy just came along the line for me so I didn’t really look up to anybody that much,” said Taaooma.
