Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson has opened up on the controversy characterising her parentage.
Up till now, she does not know whom her real father is, noting that two DNAs have failed to save her.
She notes this while explaining why she keeps a distance from her biological mother, Margareth Glover-Addy.
These are part of her revelations in her newly released book: I am not Yvonne Nelson, a title that drips with a masterly irony.
According to her, the crisis made her sever ties with her mother after two failed DNA tests.
She explains her mother deliberately keeps her father’s identity a secret, leaving her in the dark and forcing her to question her own lineage and her true root.
The actress further reveals that the mother gave her two names, Nelson and Ala Adjetey but after subsequent DNA tests, neither turned out to be her father.
