The rate at which Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has been holding meetings with President Bola Tinubu is getting interesting.
He may have met him up to four times since he emerged winner in February.
Dangote again met Tinubu in the Aso Rock on Friday – with the billionaire saying that he will again meet him next week, alongside global mogul Bill Gates.
The friendship will likely get stronger when Dangote’s Refinery begins operation as it is coming at a time Tinubu declared subsidy over.
The extent to which Dangote’s pricing will help cushion the biting effect of the N500-per-litre fuel is what is left to be seen.
