The former Governor of Kano, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has described the victory of President Bola Tinubu as a shared one – calling it ‘our victory’.
According to him, this is because he and others worked with Tinubu to achieve it.
This is as he noted that he would work with the new government if offered an appointment, noting, however that he was not seeking one.
He said this on Tuesday in an interview published by BBC Hausa.
“I am not looking for any appointment. But, if I am offered any, I would take it.
“I wish him (Tinubu) well and will continue to pray to Allah to help him because people voted for him because of the belief that he will emulate the things he did in Lagos State while he was governor and because he is a true democrat.
“His victory is also our victory because we supported him.”
