Bashir, a son of the Kaduna State Governor Nasir el-Rufai, has sparked a controversy as he dragged popular artiste and activist, Falz, for travelling out of the country to undergo a knee surgery.
The rapper recently revealed online that he had sustained a knee injury last year while playing football and had to undergo a surgical procedure to fix it.

Bashir, rather making jest of Falz, dragged him for going abroad for the surgery instead of having it done in Nigeria.

According to Bashir, Falz being a freedom fighter, had gone abroad to get his knees fixed rather than going to a home clinic.
He noted: “UK? HE DIDN’T GO TO LASUTH AS A BONA-FIDE HUMAN RIGHTS ACTIVIST? DISAPPOINTING.”
Bashir did not, however, say anything on politicians who often rush abroad for treatment.

Meanwhile, a popular skit maker, Lawal Nasiru Bolaji, aka Nasboi, has blasted him over the matter.
Reacting to Bashir’s criticism, Nasboi wrote: “Your papa Dey go Lasuth? Anum’nu.”
