The road is cleaer for the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; and the Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima, as the Supreme Court on Friday dismissed the suit seeking the latter’s disqualification
A contrary verdict would have caused a historical setback as Tinubu and Shettima are billed for inauguration on Monday, May 29.
A five-member panel of the apex court held that the Peoples Democratic Party lacked the locus standi to institute the suit.
While details are still being awaited, the apex court said the PDP had no mouth in the matter because it is not a member of the APC.
