Necessary agencies are fighting hard to save Ibadan popular market, Agbeni as it has been gutted by fire.
The market connecting siblings such as Ogunpa and Dugbe is one of the most central attracting buyers from many parts of the state and beyond.
It accommodates traders and other businessmen from all parts of the country.
Information from the state General Manager of Fire Services indicates that the inferno started from around 4 am on Sunday, with Yemi Akinyemi, its General Manager, saying “The agency received the distress call at exactly 04:37hrs through Sunday Ogundele, Access Bank security that Agbeni market is on fire.
“Our men are still battling with the job, we are grateful to Central Bank of Nigeria that allows us to use their water supply. Everything is under control. They are still going to CBN to replenish.”
