President of the Theatre Arts and Movies Production Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr. Latin, has said that it has spent more than N10 million on the health issues facing actors.

He claimed that because actors who beg for money on television are not members of the association, the organisation is unable to assist them, insisting that TAMAN had consistently saved  its members.

The question is coming after the death of top actor, Murphy Afolabi, and others in the Yoruba movie sector who either recently passed on or are facing health challenges.

Baba Latin said in a media briefing:

“Since I became the President of TAMPAN, we have spent over N10million on actor’s health challenges.

“The ones you see going on the TV to beg for money are not active members of the association. We always come to the aid of all active members.”
